Structure of an Original Article: Title to Conclusion (IMRAD)
EKBIn the previous course, we focused on the important aspects that need to be examined when a researcher intends to begin writing his/her research paper. However, for writing research papers, an important aspect that has to be understood is the overall structure of a research paper. The requirements of each journal are stated in the journal guidelines, and most international peer-reviewed journals adhere to the usage of the IMRAD format.
By attempting this course, researchers will get to understand why the IMRAD format is important for publication in international journals and what details should be provided in each section. Within this course, we will be covering the following details:
- How to structure titles in research papers
- How Title pages should be structured in research papers
- How to structure the Abstract and keywords
- Structuring of the Introduction section
- Structuring of the “Material & Methods” section
- Structuring of the “Results and Discussion” section
